Construction Trade Workforce Programs...
Description
Arizona State Senator Steve Smith, Brewer Companies CEO Mike Brewer and the GPCF Construction Workforce Collaborative invite you to a tour of the Gateway Community College - Central City Campus Trades Program.
A healthy construction trade workforce is vital to the Greater Phoenix region’s economy. There are currently more than 10,000 open construction trades jobs in the region yet we have several education programs with available capacity. Join construction industry leaders and community partners for a series of tours at a few of our local education facilities. The first tour will take place at Gateway Community College - Central City Campus, one of many educational and training providers producing talent to address the immense workforce shortage in the construction industry. During the tour, participants will build a greater awareness of the programs offered and opportunities for engagement. These tours will be followed with specific strategies to enhance outcomes at each of these locations.
A follow-up invitation will be provided to all attendees for follow up tours on the following dates:
- Sept. 7: MetroTech High School
- Oct. 18: East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT)
