Andrea will share her personal story, discussing how she got to where she is today and the experiences that shaped her commitment to giving back.
Speaker: Andrea Tyler Evans, Publisher and CEO, Frontdoors Media
Andrea Tyler Evans is the publisher/owner of Frontdoors Media, the home of Frontdoors Magazine and The Red Book community directory as well as the co-founder of the Center of Positive Media in Phoenix, Arizona. Frontdoors Media is a publishing company dedicated to celebrating the people and groups who give generously and work to build the future of the Valley of the Sun. Inside each of our publications our readers can find inspirational stories, meet leaders making a difference, learn about our vibrant arts and culture organizations across Arizona and celebrate the work of over 400 charities big and small. One of the primary goals of Frontdoors Media and all of its endeavors is to make the community more connected through storytelling and bringing together the people and organizations that are making a difference on a day-to-day basis.
Frontdoors Magazine is published as five issues per season (September–May) as well as two annual publications: the Arizona Tax Credit Giving Guide in the Phoenix and Tucson Arizona markets and Furry Friends, highlighting the vast work being done for animal welfare inside our summer issue. Our cover stories have included national icons with ties to Arizona including Rob Walton (Walmart/Walton Family Foundation), Chevy Humphrey (formar CEO of Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago), Sandra Day O’Connor and Bobb Cooper (director of Emma Stone’s childhood musical theatre) as well as beloved local philanthropists, business leaders and everyday heroes who give back after tragedy or to inspire others to make a difference.
Frontdoors currently has 20,000 print subscribers and reaches over 50,000 digital subscribers and social media followers each week through our Thursday e-newsletter, The Knock. The Red Book community directory is an annual print and online database where over 8,000 philanthropic members stay connected and have access to community resources, boards of directors and charity contact information. The Red Book was founded in 1993 by three women involved in Phoenix philanthropy and Frontdoors was founded in 2002 by Julia Patrick to bring “good news to your front door”.
Prior to acquiring Frontdoors in 2017, Andrea was a strategic event planning consultant for 15 years following development staff positions at The Phoenix Symphony and the American Heart Association. She is a graduate of Valley Leadership Institute and a proud Arizona State University alumni. Andrea has been honored as a “Most Admired Leader” in 2021 and an “Outstanding Woman in Business” in 2018 by the Phoenix Business Journal. She volunteers with a number of Valley nonprofit organizations that help women, children and the arts. She is married to Tom Evans and mom to Thomas, Ellie and their rescue kitties, Sally and Shelly.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow professionals over a delicious lunch and engage in a conversation that could transform the way you view success. We look forward to seeing you there!
