Valley Voices presents Veterans at Wo...
Description
Join the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce as we host business, education and nonprofit leaders for an important community conversation about supporting veterans in the workplace.
The Valley is home to a multitude of military veterans. Veterans have unique skill sets and disciplined training that can translate to a stronger workforce.
Valley Voices: Veterans at Work will feature a panel of experts highlighting the challenges facing veterans as they return to the civilian workforce and the resources available to help businesses employ and effectively utilize their dynamic skills.
After the panel discussion, guests are invited to a networking reception where business, nonprofit and education leaders will connect and learn more about the resources available to both businesses and veterans in the community.
Panel Speakers:
- Kimberly Hall, Director of Community Experience Goodwill
- Steven Borden, Capt. USN, Director, Veterans Services, ASU Pat Tillman Veterans Center
- Andrea Banks, District Veteran Services Coordinator & Air Force Veteran, Maricopa Community Colleges District
- Dan Irving, Central Committee Chairman of Arizona & Air Force Veteran, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR)
