Televisa Foundation (TF) supports the Hispanic/Latino population in the United States. For the last three years, we have focused on propelling education for Hispanics in the US. The lack of women, particularly Latina women in STEM fields is alarming. Therefore, TF decided to increase its efforts to empower, engage and encourage Latinas to pursue STEM field education to increase job opportunities in this sector and reduce economic disparities by creating Technolochicas. Position Description:
Televisa Foundation and the League of United Latin American Citizens invite you to apply for the TECHNOLOchicas Program Liaison who will support the TECHNOLOchicas LiFT program in Arizona. The person in this position reports directly to report to the National Programs Manager of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the Program Officer of Televisa Foundation (TF). This is a contracted position that requires 20 hours of work a week.

About TECHNOLOchicas LiFT:
Empowering girls with a STEM education is key to closing the education and economic gaps that are all too prevalent in underserved communities. Through the LiFT program, we equip young Latinas with the technological skills they need to succeed in the technology-focused workforce of today and tomorrow. TF, in partnership with LULAC and other local organizations throughout the country, offer middle school girls the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of computer science and become our future leaders in tech. The program will empower and engage middle school aged (ages 11-14) minority girls with the computer science and technological skills, to help close the education & economic gaps all too prevalent in the Latino community. The programs at 15 sites will introduce students to a technology & computer science curriculum & stimulate interest in the many career options within STEM. For more information,

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Support the TECHNOLOchicas LiFT Sub granting process
o Identify lead community organizations who are advancing computer science
opportunities in the state of Arizona;
o Outreach to secure grantee and community engagement
o Maintain the TECHNOLOchicas LiFT database including site contact
information, programming history, site reports, and participation analysis of all
o Supervise and ensure program goals and objectives are being met in a timely
manner, including reporting requirements;
? Ongoing Program Support for sub granted sites:
o Organize and lead program trainings for sites as needed;
o Aid in coordinating grantee launches, open houses, site visits and special events;
o Support coordinating events for all sites;
o Support with coordination of marketing videos for program;
o Conduct site visits to local programs sites (position requires frequent long
distance driving within the state of Arizona);
? Be available for weekly or biweekly calls with Televisa Foundation/ LULAC program
? Undertake other assignments from time to time as requested by the supervisor.
Position Details:
Flat Stipend of $1,500 / month. Position available for part time, September 1, 2017 through August 15, 2018, must be based in Southern Arizona.
Skills Required:
Thorough knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and the Internet. Excellent writing and strong organizational skills. Ideally have knowledge or have worked with computer science programming.
College degree in Communications, Political Science, English, Education, Social Work,
Community Development or other related field, or pursuing a graduate degree in a related field.
